You hear everywhere these days that your local business needs to have video to keep up with the times. But if you don’t have a fancy phone with great filmmaking capabilities, or the technical challenges of making a film seem daunting, you may feel like you’re falling behind.

We’ll get rid of this unpleasant feeling today! On the other hand, if you work in local SEO, you almost certainly have clients who meet these criteria, and getting videos from them just isn’t going to be possible without someone waving a magic wand.

Well, I found the wand, thanks a tweet from my esteemed colleague Darren Shawand mentions that you can use the free design program Canva to create a slideshow, save it as a video MP4 file, and upload it to your Google business profile.

That sent me on a bit of an odyssey. I’ve made a lot of videos this way now. While they may not roll out the red carpet for me in Hollywood, I am enchanted by the magic of putting together a few slides and ultimately creating a video that can be shared on all the platforms shown above! Your Google listing, social profiles and website will be so much better!
