FCC says 4 telecom companies pays $6M to settle 911 probes
WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The Federal Communications Fee (FCC) mentioned Friday that 4 telecom suppliers pays a complete of $6 million to settle investigations into compliance with the company’s 911 reliability guidelines throughout 2020 community outages.
AT&T, CenturyLink, now Lumen Applied sciences, Intrado, and Verizon Communications will implement compliance plans to make sure adherence to FCC emerency name guidelines. Lumen pays $3.8 million, whereas Intrado pays $1.75 million. AT&T pays a complete of $460,000 to settle two investigations, whereas Verizon pays $274,000 settlement.
