Get ranked on Google Maps

Get Ranked on Google Maps – Step by Step

I teamed up with Anne, a makeup artist and small business owner from Charlottesville, to tackle a thorny issue: her Google business profile lost verification, resulting in fewer people finding and booking her services.

Each week you can follow along as my guest and I set out to find a top spot for their business on Google Maps.

You can watch the first episode here:

Ep. 1 – First steps

In the first episode, Anne tells her story and reveals why her Google business profile wasn’t verified.

We talk a lot about the importance of being close to the city center for better Google visibility. When brainstorming solutions, we consider options like renting a nearby office or partnering with a downtown company.

We are even exploring the idea of becoming a “service area company” to ensure customers do not have to visit an office. This way we would have an easy setup while also showing Google that the company is reputable.
