How to add or claim your Hotfrog business listing

Hotfrog is a popular business directory that has been around since 2005. The company started in Australia and has since grown rapidly, now operating in over 40 countries. These include Spain, Germany, India, the United States, the United Kingdom and many others. It is an important and trusted business directory worth listing your business in. Whether you’re just looking to create quotes or are looking for a website to help you increase sales, Hotfrog is a good option worth pursuing.

We’re using the US version of Hotfrog for this guide, but the steps outlined should apply to all country variants.

Creating a Hotfrog Account

The best way to start is by creating an account (if you don’t already have an account).

After selecting the country, follow the steps below to create your account.

  1. Open hotfrog.com
  2. Click the Sign In button in the top right.

  3. On the next page you can log in if you have an account with Hotfrog. If not, click the yellow button at the bottom of the page that gives you the option to sign up for it.

    • Enter the required details and click Get Started.

  4. You’ll then see a message telling you to expect an account verification email.

  5. Go to your inbox to find the email from Hotfrog. It contains a URL to verify your email and set the password.

  6. Click on this URL and choose your preferred password. Your password must be at least 8 characters long and contain both letters and numbers.

Claiming an existing page on Hotfrog

From your account dashboard

  1. When you’re logged into your account, you’ll see two options: add a business and browse for a profile.
  2. Click Find Now on the right.

  3. Enter the company name or keyword/service and a location, then search for the existing profile.

    Note: If you search by category or keyword, Hotfrog will show you suggestions. This is not the case when you search by company name.

  4. You’ll see a single result or a whole list of possible matches.
  5. Once you see your listing, click the orange claim button or see the next page (if there are a large number of results).

  6. First, Hotfrog offers you to update the listing for a monthly fee. If you are happy with that, you can proceed. If you only want to keep the base list, click “No thanks, I just want to claim this entry, not upgrade it.”

  7. On the next page you have to confirm your profile. Select the appropriate option from the drop-down menu, check the “Terms and Conditions” option and check the “reCAPTCHA” box. Then click Confirm Now.

You are now verified. You can click Update My Profile Now and edit all the details and add more content.

From the main page

  1. Go to hotfrog.com and search for the company.
  2. You will be presented with a list of possible matches.
  3. If you see your business in the list, you can click Claim this business right there.

  4. Alternatively, you can click on the company name to view the profile in more detail.
  5. At the top of the page, in the right corner, you will see the yellow “Claim this business” button.

  6. From here, the rest of the steps are the same as from step 6 in the section above (Hotfrog will prompt you to update the entry). If you skip this option, you will either need to sign in or create the account and verify everything as described in the Account Creation section.

Adding a brand new page

From your account dashboard

  1. If you know your business isn’t on Hotfrog, click the Add Business button.

  2. Enter the required information about your company and click on “Find address”:

  3. If you fill in at least all mandatory fields, the page will expand and you can add more information, e.g. B. Company categories, contact details and website URL.
    You also have the option to hide the address and correct the map pin to point to the exact location.

  4. Check all relevant boxes, then click Submit Profile.
  5. You will be taken to a page confirming that the page has been added. It may take a few minutes for it to appear in search results.
  6. The site is unclaimed. That’s why Hotfrog asks you to check this immediately:

  7. Click Confirm Now and follow the process from step 6 in the Claim an Existing Page section.

From the main page

  1. Go to hotfrog.com
  2. Click on “Add company” in the upper right corner.

  3. Sign in to your account or create a new one as described in the “Account Creation” section.
  4. Then follow the same steps as described in the “Add a brand new page from your account dashboard” section above.
