I’m trying to help my friend backup her entire photo collection of 25,000+ images from Icloud. However, since her mid-2012 MacBook Pro had a history of crashing, we thought we could use my Win 10 PC instead. I downloaded the Icloud program, logged in and selected a folder to sync all the images to. At some point during the sync process, I received the message: “The files have been deleted from iCloud Photos on all your devices and moved to the Recently Deleted folder on Apple devices. You have 30 days to restore it.”
I canceled the process and restored the eight moved photos. Why would this happen and what can I do to prevent it if I want to sync the photos?
The plan now is to do both attempt and use your MacBook or download everything from Privacy.Apple
