Impact of synthesis circumstances on the properties of graphene doped with nitrogen atoms: Fullerenes, Nanotubes and Carbon Nanostructures: Vol 0, No 0
Summary
Graphene doped with nitrogen atoms (N-graphene) was ready by the template technique. Magnesium oxide was subjected to carbonization within the 40% NH3–1% C2H2–C2H4 combination at 650–750 °C. Then, the MgO core of the ready N–С/MgO composite was dissolved by remedy in hydrochloric acid. The consequences of temperature and synthesis time on the properties of the obtained N-graphene had been studied by electron microscopy, Raman spectroscopy, XPS and XRD. The aggregates consisted of N-graphene particles with globular form reflecting the template technique used for his or her synthesis. The dimensions of the carbon globules was about 30–50 nm. In response to the chemical mapping information, C, O and N atoms had been uniformly distributed in N-graphene inside the evaluation space. A rise of the synthesis temperature from 650 to 750 °C led to the lower of the pattern defectiveness, nitrogen atom focus and floor space of N-graphene.
