Sparkling Local SEO Tips for Fireworks Stands with Seasonal Google Business Profiles

Do you have to delete your Google Business Profile (GBP) every year if you are a seasonal business?

Summer is here and you may have seen fireworks set off in anticipation of the summer holidays. In Canada, Canada Day is celebrated on July 3rd and in the US, Independence Day is celebrated on July 4th. There are usually a lot of fireworks on both holidays.

That means many fireworks stands and shops are reopening or reopening after a hiatus. It is essentially a seasonal business.

Google has a much better grip on seasonal business than it used to. Google now offers a “temporarily closed” flag for your Google Business Profile. If you’re a seasonal business, Google policy is that you should update your business description to clarify that it’s a seasonal business. You should then edit your opening times and check the box that says you’re temporarily closed during the off-season.

This is a guideline that has been extremely helpful for seasonal operations such as fireworks displays.
