Most mattresses are marketed with “discounts” most of the year, but Amazon Prime Day mattress deals are typically significantly better than the discounts on an average Tuesday. We track prices to recognize when a deal is actually a deal. This Amazon Prime Day 2023 – technically Prime Big Deal Days – offers solid prices whether you buy a bed on Amazon or not. There are also some deals on sheets and other sleep accessories, such as weighted blankets. The prices listed below are for queen size beds.

This isn’t the cheapest deal we’ve observed – it dropped to $2,577 during Prime Day in July. Like the Luxe, the Elite collection includes six mattresses so you can choose your perfect firmness level. WIRED Reviews Editor Martin Cizmar slept on the plush Sunset model. These are 16 inches thick and come in two heavy boxes. One box contains the bottom layer and the other determines the level of softness. They are inserted into a larger support system to form what is hopefully a perfect bed.

The Leesa Sapira is our runner-up and even though it’s full price, it’s holding steady at $1,699 on Amazon. That’s not the absolute cheapest we’ve ever seen, but it’s still a good deal for a mattress that’s cool, cozy, and soft, yet firm enough to relieve pressure.

We’ve seen this mattress for less, dropping to $1,117 during the Prime Day sale over the summer. However, if you need pressure relief, this device is for you. The foam top layer provides support yet is super soft, so you can sink in a little without getting snagged.

Casper’s hybrid bed tops out at $1,495, but often goes for $1,196 on Amazon. Still, this price is among the best deals we’ve found for a bed from the brand that made bed-in-a-box mattresses famous. This hybrid is a great neutral option. It strikes a good balance between soft and supportive, with just enough bounce.

This mattress is made from latex foam, organic wool and individually wrapped springs. It’s cheaper than our other organic options, and while it’s supportive and bouncy, it’s not quite as comfortable as others. You may feel the springs a little more than you are used to. But it’s neither too hot nor too cold and we didn’t feel much motion transfer.

This isn’t our top choice for organic mattresses, but we like the twin size for kids. It is made of certified organic cotton, wool and latex.

Although the price of this mattress rose to over $1,000 on Amazon in September, it has been $999 or less every other month since last year. That makes this one of the best prices we’ve found for the best firm mattress – it was $865 on Prime Day in July.

This organic latex pick from My Green Mattress is our favorite firm topper—it’s 2 inches tall, has a zipper for when you need to remove the organic cotton cover from the base, and stays in place without the need for straps .

The retail price is technically a whopping $3,295, but has remained stable at $2,945 since we began tracking. This is one of our favorites and we think it will last for years thanks to its quality construction – however, it is extremely heavy so be prepared. It is made of organic latex, protected by an organic wool lining and an organic cotton cover. If you’re not sure whether you want a soft or firm bed, this one is double-sided so you can figure it out after you buy it or switch if necessary. It has excellent edge support and sleeps neither hot nor cool.

Linen sheets are controversial – people tend to love them or hate them. Until the moment I fell asleep, I thought I was in the second camp. They may itch at first, but with each wash they get softer and I don’t sweat even a drop in the hot Texas summer. These were cheaper during Labor Day, costing $191 for a queen size set. So if you can wait, you might find them for less.

We like several Brooklinen sheets and this is our favorite organic set. They’re soft but not overly silky, and you won’t sleep too hot in them. They are made from Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certified organic cotton and are Oeko-Tex certified, meaning they have been tested for and do not contain known toxic chemicals. Like the bedding set above, prices for organic cotton sheets dropped to $183 during the Labor Day sale.

We already love Bedsure’s bamboo rayon sheets because of their affordable price. These sheets are consistently available for $60, so it’s even better to snag them for a little cheaper. They’re silky and cool, especially for the price.

Buffy’s sheets are made from Tencel Lyocell, which comes from sustainable wood sources, in this case eucalyptus. My husband and I agree that these are light and airy, but still feel warm and cozy – not so much that you wake up sweaty, but enough to feel really snuggled up. However, on my 13 inch mattress they tend to ride up at night and need to be readjusted. The brand’s Wiggle Pillow, which is essentially an oversized body pillow, is also discounted on the Buffy website.

This amazing and huge blanket will be the focus of a story of its own in a few weeks. WIRED reviewer Louryn Strampe loves it. As the name suggests, it’s huge, measuring 10 x 10 feet, so it’s really easy to share – even if you’re a blanket eater like her. The price is in line with what we have seen on other shopping holidays.

Spoiler alert: This is our top pick in our upcoming guide to the best pillows. The Casper Hybrid pillow uses a design that sandwiches a foam core between layers of memory fibers that make this pillow soft and foldable while retaining its shape. And best of all: it stays cool all night long. This price is in line with what we saw during Prime Day in July.

Weighted Blanket Deals

This price is for the terracotta color only. The Brooklinen weighted blanket weighs 12 pounds, but feels sufficiently heavy when I snuggle up in it at night. It has withstood many washes well. It’s also prettier than some other options and one side has a nice pattern.

Gravity makes great weighted blankets, including this 15-pound budget version. It’s cheaper than most options available, but doesn’t lack in quality. You can also add a cover (also at a special price) if you don’t want to wash the entire garment. If you’re not sure if weighted blankets are right for you, this is a good way to try them out without spending too much.

This price is for the 20-pound queen size blanket, but there are several others to choose from. Most weighted blankets have two or three weight options, but Luna has multiple weights and sizes – from 5, 7, or 10 pounds for children up to 20 pounds. If you’re buying the blanket for a child or just aren’t sure about being as heavy as other brands, consider the Luna Crisp Cotton Blanket. If you can’t find exactly what you’re looking for on Amazon, you may be able to find it directly on the Luna website.
