Maximize Your Video Reach: Do You Really Need to Embed from YouTube?

If you want to get the most video traffic from Google, it’s important to make sure you’re embedding your videos from YouTube and not some other source.

Why is YouTube the best?

We noticed on one of our client’s websites that they used to get a lot of video traffic and then it suddenly stagnated.

Poking around we found that they used to embed a video from YouTube on their site and their old SEO company removed it and embed it with Vimeo instead. So we decided to put it back on the site via YouTube. As you can see in the image below, their video traffic returned.

It might seem strange that this would happen, but in case you didn’t know, Google owns YouTube! Many SEO companies remove YouTube embedded videos from websites because they are concerned about website speed. However, we have found that the traffic you get from these videos is worth the potential downside of a slightly slower website.
